2019 List of Christmas Parades Across Delmarva

A number of towns and cities across Delmarva are holding Christmas parades throughout the month of December. Below is a list of parades in our area:

Tuesday, Dec. 3 - Pocomoke City, Md. - Starting at 7 p.m., the parade will attract more than 100 units from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, and will feature marching bands, floats, fire departments, equestrian units and Santa Claus. Click here for more information.

Tuesday, Dec. 3 - Rehoboth, Del. – Starts at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy local school marching bands, fun and festive floats, see local chapters and clubs, the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and sing along with Santa!

Wednesday, Dec. 4 - Milton, Del. - 7-9 p.m., sponsored by the Milton Fie Department, Inc., 116 Front St., Milton, DE 19968.

Thursday, Dec. 5- Georgetown, Del.-  Starting at 7 p.m., the theme for this year’s parade is a “Winter Wonderland." Click here for more information.

Thursday, Dec. 5 - Denton, Md. - 6 p.m., Market Street. The parade will feature marching bands and dozens of floats.  The event will also feature the Lighting of the Green. Click here for more information.

Thursday, Dec. 5 – Berlin, Md. – The parade, running from 7-9 p.m., features approximately 85 floats, and includes marching bands, dance teams, specialty floats and fire companies. The celebration takes place  in historic Downtown Berlin. Click here for details.

Friday, Dec. 6– Crisfield, Md. – Starts at 6:30 p.m. Parade starts at the Crisfield Library and will continue down Route 413 to 11th Street. Featuring bands, floats, and more.

Friday, Dec. 6 – Laurel, Del. – The annual parade will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

Friday, Dec. 6 - Selbyville, Del. - The 59th annual Selbyville Christmas Parade will be held from 7-9 p.m. in downtown. More information here.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - Chincoteague, Va. – Starts at 7 p.m. Floats, bands, fire companies from all around the Eastern Shore and a special visit from Santa.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - Easton, Md. – Christmas tree lighting at 6 p.m. with the 1-mile parade that loops around downtown beginning at 6:30 p.m. Featuring floats, vehicles, bands, and more throughout the downtown business district. More information here.

Saturday, Dec. 7 – Millsboro, Del. – Christmas parade and tree lighting takes place at 5 p.m. Bring a chair.  More information here.

Saturday, Dec. 7 – Lewes, Del. – Parade starts at 5 p.m. followed by tree-lighting and caroling in Zwaanendael Park. More information here.

Saturday, Dec. 7 – Ocean City, Md. – The parade, which starts at 11 a.m. on Old Landing Road at 120th Street, will feature more than 50 units, including high school bands, antique cars, colorful holiday floats, horses and more. The southbound lanes of Coastal Highway are closed for the parade in that general area allowing spectators to gather curbside. Pedestrians will not be allowed to watch the parade from the median on Coastal Highway.

Saturday, Dec. 7 -  Seaford, Del. – Starting at 7 p.m., the parade features marching bands, fire units, car clubs, floats, and more. The theme for 2019 is "Ringing in Christmas."

Saturday, Dec. 7 -  Princess Anne, Md. - Parade gets underway at 11 a.m. followed by photos with Santa at the fire house.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - Delmar Md./Del. - Sponsored by the Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce, the parade starts at 2 p.m. with a rain date of Saturday, Dec. 21. Click here for more information.

Saturday, Dec. 7 - Cambridge, Md. – The Cambridge-Dorchester County 71st Annual Christmas Parade gets underway at 5 p.m.  The theme is "Christmas Past & Present." More information here.

Sunday, Dec. 8 – Salisbury, Md. – The Jaycees of Salisbury host the 73rd  annual Christmas parade in Salisbury, starting at 2 p.m. This year's theme is "A Very Country Christmas." More details and parade route information here.

Monday, Dec. 9 – Snow Hill, Md. – The parade begins at 7 p.m. and begins on South Church Street and turns onto West Market Street to the Worcester County Court House. There will be high school marching bands, floats, firetrucks, and a visit from Santa.

Tuesday, Dec. 10 – Dagsboro, Del. – This event gets underway at 7 p.m. Enjoy floats, marching units, fire trucks and a visit by Santa Claus. After the parade, Santa will be stationed at the Dagsboro Fire Hall to talk with the kids and get their Christmas wish lists. The parade begins at the entrance to Indian River High School on Main Street Extended and comes into town, turning left on Clayton Street and ending at the fire hall. Saturday, Dec. 14 - Dover, Del. - 6:30 p.m. The parade lineup will begin at Legislative Mall. The parade will proceed north onto Federal Street towards East Loockerman Street. The parade will then turn left and proceed west in the eastbound lane of East Loockerman Street. The parade will then proceed West on Loockerman Street, will turn left onto South Queen Street and head south toward Bank Lane where the parade will then end and break up. The total length from beginning to end is .6 mile.

Saturday, Dec. 14 - Gumboro, Del. - Gumboro's second annual parade will take place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting from the Gumboro Community Center, 36849 Millsboro Highway in Gumboro. Lineup starts at 4:30 p.m. with the parade getting underway at 5:30. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories:

• Marching Bands- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Youth Group- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Non Profit- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Fire Equipment- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Antique- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Farm Equipment- 1st 2nd, 3rd

• Commercial- 1st 2nd, 3rd

* Judges Choice- 1st, 2nd, 3rd

• Sussex County Spirit- 1st 2nd, 3rd

Saturday, Dec. 14- Hurlock, Md. - The parade gets underway at 5 p.m. Rain date: Sunday, Dec. 15.

Saturday, Dec. 14 - Bridgeville, Del. – The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. Rain date: Dec. 15 at 4 p.m.  For more information click here.

Saturday, Dec. 14 – St. Michaels, Md. – Starts at 10:30 a.m. The route starts at Talbot Street and will feature marching bands, antique cars and boats, fire engines, horses and Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on an antique sleigh,  More information here.
