Scour Hole near Ocean City Inlet Causes Erosion

OCEAN CITY, Md--For a long time, neighbors near Homer Gudelsky Park, also known as Stinky Beach, say visitors park all over the space.  The County Commissioners recently approved a plan for better parking at the beach. Moving forward, the park has signs that will enforce the beach's parking rule.  Prior to the signs, neighbors say visitors would park everywhere, including in front of their yards.  "My main issue is a lot of times they encroach on the property, they back into your mailboxes, they leave trash sometimes," says homeowner, Fritz Pielert.    The Worcester County Commissioner's acknowledge parking near Stinky Beach is limited but they say visitors must abide by the park's rules.  In addition to the new signs, parking stripes will be painted to show drivers where they're allowed to park.
