Rocket to Launch From NASA's Wallops Flight Facility

ATLANTIC, Va.- The Terrier Improved Orion sounding rocket launch carrying 40 student experiments has been rescheduled for Friday, June 25, with an 8-10 a.m. launch window from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Thursday's attempt was postponed due to expected rough seas that would prevent payload recovery. The rocket launch is expected to be seen from the eastern shore of Virginia and Maryland and southern Delaware.

Live coverage of the mission is scheduled to begin at 7:40 a.m. on the Wallops Youtube site. Launch updates also are available via the Wallops Facebook and Twitter.

The Wallops NASA Visitor Center will not be open for launch viewing.
