SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man is dead after a single vehicle collision in Delmar Saturday night.
According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Jason Lee Brown was killed after being ejected from his vehicle at the intersection of Connelly Mill Road and Shadow Lane.
Deputies say when they arrived at the scene shortly after 11 p.m. a pick-up truck was destroyed from an apparent collision with trees along the road; the driver had already been thrown from the vehicle.
Investigation revealed the truck had been traveling at a high speed westbound on Connelly Mill Road near Foskey Lane when Brown lost control on a curve. The vehicle then went off the road and into a curb and several trees.
Deputies say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The sheriff's office believes his failure to use occupant restraints and speed were factors in the fatal crash.
