Delaware State Police

DOVER, DE -- Delaware State Police have made three arrests in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 17th on Nathaniel Mitchell Road in Dover. 

At around 6:14 pm on April 17th, troopers responded to the 1500 block of Nathaniel Mitchell Road for a reported shooting, according to officials with the state police. A 19-year-old man had been shot, and transported himself to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officials said 18-year-old Leslie McGuire, a 15-year-old male, and a 16-year-old male, all from Dover, were arrested in connection with the incident. Detectives obtained warrants for their arrests on April 24th, according to state authorities.

- Assault 1st Degree (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony)

- Reckless Endanger First Degree - Four Counts (Felony)

- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $5000 or More (Felony)

- Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $1000 but less than $5000 - Two Counts

McGuire was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $536,000 cash bond, according to officials. 

15-year-old Male

- Assault 1st Degree (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony) 

- Reckless Endanger First Degree - Four Counts (Felony)

- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $5000 or More (Felony)

- Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $1000 but less than $5000 - Two Counts

He was arraigned by the Kent County Family Court and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $60,000 cash bond, according to officials. 

16-year-old Male

- Assault 1st Degree (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony)

- Reckless Endanger First Degree - Four Counts (Felony)

- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $5000 or More (Felony)

- Conspiracy Second Degree (Felony)

- Criminal Mischief $1000 but less than $5000 - Two Counts

He was arraigned by the Kent County Family Court and committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $60,000 secured bond, according to officials. 

Delaware State Police officials said the investigation is still ongoing as detectives continue to review video surveillance, along with other incidents that may be connected to the suspects. Additional charges associated with reports of stolen vehicles are also anticipated, according to officials.
