MILLSBORO, Del. – The Delaware State Police are asking for victims of home improvement fraud cases to come forward in the Millsboro area.
According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed the incidents occurred back in May of 2015. Police said Brett Johnson, of Johnson’s Custom Carpentry, was hired by several victims to complete work at their homes in the Millsboro area. Police said a verbal proposal was submitted to the victim, who in turn gave Brett a deposit totaling more than $6,600. According to police, none of the work has been started and Brett Johnson failed to return the victim’s money even after numerous requests to do so.
Police are asking any homeowner that had work not performed or completed by the company or Brett Johnson to contact Det. T. Shockley at 302-752-3812.
