FRANKFORD, DE - The annual Camp Clean Up at Camp Barnes is slated to begin on Saturday in preparation of the summer season.

Established in 1948 by Delaware State Police Superintendent Herbert Barnes, Sr., Camp Barnes is a children’s summer camp that aims to foster leadership skills and initiative in Delaware’s youth.

Each year, 4-H and other community members gather to clean and prepare the camp for the upcoming camp season.

The Camp Cleanup is scheduled for April 5 starting at 8:30 a.m. at 37171 Camp Barnes Rd in Frankford.

“If you want to help make camp beautiful again before the summer season, join us in helping with different projects as we ensure that camp looks as great as it did last summer!” the Kent County 4-H said in an online invitation.
