MARDELA SPRINGS, Md.,-A series of bomb threats targeted at Mardela Middle and High School on Wednesday.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says investigators were able to track down and identify the suspect, located in Crisfield. Officials with the Sheriff's Office reportedly met with the suspect, who confessed to his involvement in the bomb threats. According to officials, the suspect claimed their intention was not to cause harm, but to get their friend, who attends Mardela Middle and High School, out of class for the day.
The Sheriff's Office says the suspect's cell phone was seized and the risk to public safety is low. Charges are pending as that investigation continues.
