CAROLINE COUNTY, Md. - K9s Odi and Ace with the Caroline County Sheriff's Office have received bullet and stab protective vests.

The sheriff's office says the vests were donated from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Odi’s vest is sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Eddie Earnest”. K9 Ace’s vest is sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always”.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. was established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
