Early Morning Blaze Destroys Georgetown Barn

A video posted to Facebook by the Georgetown Fire Company shows an 80-by-100 foot pole barn fully engulfed in flames. 

GEORGETOWN, DE– The Georgetown Fire Company (GFC) says a fire destroyed a commercial barn on Steiner Road this morning. 

Fire departments from Georgetown, Millsboro, Milton, Blades, Dagsboro and Lewes responded to the blaze, reported at 3:18 a.m. 

Upon arrival, officials say an 80-by-100 foot pole barn was fully enveloped in flames.

GFC shared a video on Facebook showing the structure and a partially engulfed recreational vehicle.

While the barn was reportedly completely destroyed, officials say they can not yet estimate the damages.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
