SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. - State police are investigating a deadly crash that killed one man near Harbeson.

Delaware State Police say the crash happened on Sunday, Nov. 26, around 1:17 a.m. Troopers say a SUV was driving eastbound on Lewes-Georgetown Highway, east of Fawn Lane, when the SUV exited the roadway and crashed into a tree before catching fire. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Georgetown, reportedly died at the scene. His name is being withheld until family are notified.

Troopers say the road was closed for around four hours to investigate the crash and clear the scene.

The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed this crash to contact Senior Corporal J.
