LEWES, Del.- A Greenwood man is facing felony shoplifting charges after an incident at a Home Depot in Lewes Monday morning.

Around 10 a.m., troopers say there were called to the Home Depot on the 17000 block of Coastal Highway. When they arrived, they were reportedly told that a white male wearing a brown sweatshirt had shoplifted items valued over $1,500 and then fled the store in a red two-tone pick-up truck.

A trooper patrolling on Coastal Highway in the area of Westcoats Road, reportedly observed a man, later identified as 52 year-old Michael Stulir, driving a truck that matched the description of the shoplifting suspect. The trooper pulled Stulir over and took the Greenwood man into custody without incident.

He was charged with the following crime:

  • Shoplifting Over $1,500 (Felony)

Stulir was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
