SALISBURY, MD - The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two Salisbury residents for alleged drug possession and distribution, including a large amount of fentanyl. 

The Sheriff’s Office says they received tips regarding drug activity at a home on Middle Neck Lane in Salisbury and searched the residence on September 20th. There, police say they found over 15 grams of crack cocaine, nearly 12 grams of purple suspected fentanyl, 40 capsules of suspected pink fentanyl, 5 suboxone strips, digital scales, and other paraphernalia.

In all, just over 28 grams of suspected fentanyl was seized according to police. 

Police say Jameel Bivans, 46, and Marah Smith, 52, were both arrested as a result of the search. Bivans and Smith face multiple drug-related charges including possession of fentanyl - large amount, possession with intention to distribute fentanyl, and possession with intention to distribute crack.

Both Bivans and Smith are being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.
