QUEENSTOWN, Md.- Authorities investigating a fire that destroyed a car in Queenstown say the vehicle was found to be stolen out of Baltimore City.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze was reported by a passerby at around 6:30 a.m. at Goose Landing Lane/Bloomingdale Road.
Ten firefighters from the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and got the fire under control in about 12 minutes.
The car, identified as a 2014 Audi A5, sustained more than $28,000 in damage.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and said the car was reported stolen from Baltimore City.
