MILFORD, DE.- A Dover man is facing charges for an alleged assault in Milford.
Milford Police say they were called to help the victim get things from a home on NW 2nd Street in Milford. Officers say while en route, the victim called to say they had just been assaulted by Frederick Caldwell, 47.
When authorities arrived they found the victim with visible injuries. Caldwell left the scene before officers arrived.
A warrant was obtained for Caldwell's arrest and he was arrested on Saturday.
Caldwell had a presentment through the Justice of the Peace Court and was committed to the Department of Correction in lieu of $62,000 cash bail. He was given a no-contact order with the victim. He is expected to appear in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas at another date.
