AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A Texas appeals court has cut the $50 million in damages that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was ordered to pay to Sandy Hook families to just $1.5 million, ruling that the trial judge improperly allowed the parents to exceed a statutory cap on damage awards.
