QUEENSTOWN, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that killed an 88-year-old man.

State police say William Minahan, 88, of Easton died in the crash Thursday afternoon. Troopers say Minahan was attempting to turn onto Ocean Gateway from a parking lot when he failed to yield the right of way, causing another car to crash into his car.

The driver of the other car, 24-year-old Kathleen Strawbridge, of Glen Bernie, and her 2-year-old child, were transported to Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Route 50 was closed for more than 3 hours for the crash investigation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to Maryland State Police.
