DOVER, Del. --- Delaware could add more compassion centers and potentially target western Kent and Sussex counties patients by locating one of the facilities in those areas.
The director of the state's medical cannabis program told WBOC in a statement that the Delaware is looking to add four new retail dispensary locations for medical cannabis. Among the areas being targeted are the western parts of Central and Southern Delaware.
" While there are three locations currently in New Castle County, there are some areas that would benefit from additional access in that part of the state, as well," said Paul Hyland, director of the Office of Medical Marijuana.
Currently, Kent County has one dispensary that is located in Smyrna.
