Delaware State Police Searching for Suspect in Georgetown Shooting

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking the public's help locating a 33-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting that left a woman injured in Georgetown. 

Alvaro Marroquinn of North Versailles, Pa., has active warrants on file charging him with first-degree assault and possession of a firearm during a felony. 

According to police, shortly before 4 a.m. Feb. 1, paramedics found a 39-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound on the 100 block of Garden Circle. 

The victim was taken to Sussex Bayhealth Hospital, but later transferred to Christiana Hospital where she was listed in serious condition.
