LAUREL, Del.- A fire broke out late Monday night in Laurel, causing damage to a decades-old restaurant.
Numerous fire companies responded to the fire at Laurel's Britt's Dutch Inn at 1012 South Central Ave. Laurel, Delmar, Sharptown, Blades, and Seaford volunteer fire companies all responded.
No injuries have been reported yet. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire or the extent of damage to the restaurant.
According to its Facebook page, the restaurant closed on March 19 to focus on renovations and deep cleaning.
The restaurant has been in business since 1946.
