FREDERICA, Del.- The town of Frederica, Delaware is planning to convert a former junkyard to a park.
The town recently purchased the lot next to the town hall for $40,000, according to Mayor William "Chick" Glanden, who noted the site could also be home to a farmer's market.
The town is awaiting approval from the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control to work on the former junkyard, which was considered a brownfield site.
