Update: Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Perdue Farms Assault

MILFORD, Del. - Milford Police said a Frederica man is in custody after a victim had been seriously assaulted in the parking lot of Perdue Farms last week.

The incident happened at the company's Milford location on April 17 between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. According to police, officers received a call that a victim had been seriously assaulted by an unknown person. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition at the time.

Tuesday, Milford PD announced the arrest of 37-year-old Kevin L. Kimbrough of Frederica. Detectives were able to identify him as the suspect in the assault and obtained a warrant for his arrest. The U.S. Marshals Service First State Fugitive Task Force arrested Kimbrough on the 1600 Block of Bay Road in Milford.  

Kimbrough was charged with first degree attempted murder, carjacking and other offenses. He was arraigned and committed to the department of correction on a $622,000 cash bail.

Kimbrough was also given a no contact order between the victim as well as Perdue Farms, Inc. He is set to appear in Kent County Court at a later date for a preliminary hearing.
