Updated: Wednesday Night Fires in Seaford Being Investigated, One Dead

SEAFORD, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating two fires in Seaford Wednesday night that left one person dead. The first fire started around 8 p.m. at a home on North Arch Street. Video captured by viewers at the scene show flames shooting out of the two-story home. One person was found dead inside. The identity of the person has not been released yet as the body awaits an autopsy. There were no other reported injuries. The American Red Cross provided emergency assistance to

six adults displaced by the fire.  Fire damage was estimated at $75,000. Crews also responded to a house fire on Hurley Park Drive. There is no word yet on the extent of damage or if there were any injuries in connection with that incident. Bother fires remain under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
