MARYLAND - Dan Cox has won the Republican primary in Maryland's gubernatorial primaries, the Associated Press has projected.
Cox, a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates, is running for governor after losing in the gubernatorial race in 2022. Cox's campaign is focused around affordable home ownership, reducing taxes, protecting retirees and low-cost energy.
Cox will challenge Gov. Wes Moore in November who won the Democratic primary.
