OCEAN CITY, Md.- After four days of fishing, the leaderboard is exactly the same as it was Tuesday.
The 48th annual White Marlin Open has had two back-to-back quiet days, with relatively no changes to the standings. The Dolphin and Tuna categories have seen a number of candidates enter, and then vacate third place, but the biggest winners still reign supreme.
Mike Adkinson of Virginia Beach is slotted to win $4.9 million, if his 82.5-pound white marlin isn't bested by another angler. No other fisher has caught an eligible White Marlin in the first four days.
In the Blue Marlin category, Chris Perry's 559.5-pound behemoth is the only eligible, and reportedly boated, blue marlin.
Tuna has been much more competitive, but Lawrence Morejon's 137-pound catch is still on top, followed by Ron Kawaja's 97-pound tuna.
