BISHOP'S HEAD, Md.- The Dorchester County government has set up eight roll off dumpsters in Southern Dorchester County to help with flood cleanup.
The area saw near historic flooding on Friday and Saturday that neighbors we spoke with say was almost as bad as Hurricane Isabel back in 2003.
Buddy Oberender's Bishop's Head property was impacted by the high tide, but he considers himself lucky.
"We had maybe twelve inches in our garage, it was probably about eight inches from coming in the house," Oberender said. "I was lucky. I got it all up high enough before it came and I didn't lose any materials, I just have a lot of stuff that's wet"
Oberender says many of his neighbors were hit hard.
"A lot of people around here had six or eight inches in their house and lost refrigerators and furniture," Oberender said.
At one home, furniture remains propped up. You can still see wet floors where flood waters came in. A window is open in efforts to air out the moisture.
County officials urge those who have flood damage to report that damage to them.
