Police Search for Suspects in Attempted Murder of an Easton Man

SALISBURY, Md. - Trisha Lyn Parker's body was discovered Sunday on the banks of Johnsons Pond in Salisbury.

Parker was a mother of 10 children, according to Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis.

Sheriff Lewis says their investigation led them to 23-year old Marquez Armstrong, who had been dating Parker for a few months. During questioning, Armstrong confessed to choking and punching Parker which ultimately led to her death. Police say Armstrong also implicated 18-year old Corey Jones as his accomplice. Armstrong and Jones face 1st-degree murder and other charges. Both are held in the Wicomico Detention Center.

People like Susan Carey, who live along Johnsons Pond, say they're in disbelief.

"It just kinda broke your heart to see that that was a human being that had just been discarded like that," says Carey.

Lauren Hill, whose home faces Johnsons Pond says, "we've had our share of 'city crimes' here and there, but we've never had something so horrible happen and so it's just a reminder to all of us how sensitive life is."

A friend of Trisha Parker says that she was "an angel heavenly sent". That same friend says he's unsure what will happen to her 10 children.
