CAPE CHARLES, Va.- Crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel on Virginia's Eastern Shore will now cost motorists a bit more.
The toll for passenger cars, RV's and light trucks for a one-way trip across the 23-mile span is now $14 during off-peak periods and $18 during the peak season.
That is an increase of $1 as of Jan. 1. If you make a return trip within 24 hours, you will be able to get a discount on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, but you must have an EZ-Pass.
