POCOMOKE CITY, MD - Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of shots fired in Pocomoke City on Wednesday night.
According to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 10:15pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist the Pocomoke City Police Department with the report of shots fired in the area of Clarke Avenue.
During the response to the report, the sheriff's office says "a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle possibly related to this incident on Route 113 where a handgun was recovered."
The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation is conducting the investigation.
According to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, there is no threat to the public at this time.
