Delaware State Police arrested 30-year-old Jennifer Hirl for driving a stolen Acura ATL from New Jersey on Thursday. 

MILTON, DE– Delaware State Police (DSP) arrested a Milton woman driving a stolen car following a pursuit Thursday. 

Troopers located a stolen Acura ATL from New Jersey driving on West Randor Drive around 5:19 p.m. on July 4 and attempted to stop the car, according to DSP. 

Police say the Acura continued driving on several area streets before returning to West Randor Drive and stopping. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Jennifer Hirl, reportedly tried to walk away from the car, but was arrested after a brief struggle with police. 

DSP says Hirl showed signs of impairment and completed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests after being transported to Troop 7.

Hirl was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,900 cash bond for the following crimes: 

  • Receive or Transfer a Stolen Vehicle (Felony)

  • Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal (Felony)

  • Driving Under the Influence

  • Resisting Arrest

  • Traffic Violations
