OC motel robbery

(MGN)

OCEAN CITY, Md. - A man has been arrested for an armed robbery of an Ocean City motel early Monday morning.

Ocean City Police say around 1:45 a.m. today, an employee of a motel near 71st Street says the suspect entered the lobby, pointed a knife at him, and demanded money.

Police say the description matched 47-year-old Troy Evans, who had just been released about four hours earlier after being arrested for an open-container violation in the town. He had been released on his own recognizance.

They say officers canvassed the area and found Evans around 2:30 a.m. and arrested him. Police say he had two knives and cash on him.
