HEBRON, MD - The Maryland State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Wicomico County on Sunday.
Maryland State Police tell WBOC they responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 11:44am, on westbound Route 50 at Old Railroad Road in Hebron.
According to state police, a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on US-50 and crashed with a red Lincoln Nautilus SUV. An initial investigation revealed that "the SUV, driven by 83-year-old George Leroy Nesbitt Jr., was attempting to cross the westbound lanes to Old Railroad Road from a center crossover."
Nesbitt was the only occupant of the SUV, and was taken to TidalHealth in Salisbury.
MSP say the driver of the motorcycle, 42-year-old John Henry Parater, and his passenger, 24-year-old Hannah Marie Fox, were taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by MSP Aviation for treatment.
The incident, including the cause of the crash, is still under investigation.
