Dover City Council

DOVER, DE - The unofficial results for Dover's city council elections have been announced. There were nine new people and four current council members running to fill 5 open seats. 

The City of Dover's municipal elections were held on Tuesday. Polls were open from 7:00am to 8:00pm at the Elk's Lodge #1903 on Saulsbury Road. 

The following unofficial results are provided by the City of Dover. 

AT-LARGE

- Andre M. Boggerty 806 votes (68.71%)

- Shereen L. Woodard Onyekachi 367 votes (31.29%)

FIRST DISTRICT CITY COUNCIL

- Justina Brinkley 118 votes (29.35%)

- Anthony Floyd, Jr. 108 votes (26.87%)

- Gerald L. Rocha, Sr. 176 votes (43.78%)

SECOND DISTRICT CITY COUNCIL

- Donyale Hall 171 votes (44.07%)

- Donna S. Mitchell 168 votes (43.30%)

- Stephan D. Pierce 36 votes (9.28%)

- Faye D. White 13 votes (3.35%)

THIRD DISTRICT CITY COUNCIL

- Jo Ann Mather 95 votes (33.45%)

- Fred A. Neil 189 votes (66.55%)

FOURTH DISTRICT CITY COUNCIL

- David L. Anderson 137 votes (71.35%)

- Leory Bradshaw, Jr. 55 votes (28.65%)

Sam joined the WBOC team in January 2024 as a News Producer. She graduated from the University of Delaware in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communication. Before working at WBOC, Sam worked for Hens All-Access in the University of Delaware’s Athletics Department. She also interned for the Delmarva Sports Network in 2022.
