DOVER, DE - The Delaware State Police have launched an investigation after finding two people dead in a car on the side of the road in Dover Sunday.

According to authorities, police were called to the intersection of Sharon Hill Road and Cahoon Branch Road on April 20 just before 7:30 a.m. for a death investigation. Police say they arrived to find a 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man inside the vehicle, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

On Thursday, police identified the two people as Brittani Hollis and Kamal Paddy, both of Dover. The two were in a relationship, according to police, though no further information is currently available.

Police say they do not believe there is a threat to public safety at this time.
