MILFORD, DE - The City of Milford announced the unofficial results for their special election on a major water infrastructure decision.

The city says the proposal "to borrow up to $8.5 million for the design, engineering, and construction of water utility infrastructure improvements in the northwest service area" was approved by the majority of qualified voters today.

In a Facebook post on City of Milford's official Facebook page, unofficial votes show 135 votes in favor and 21 votes against.

On Monday, the city board of elections will review the results and submit them to the state of Delaware.
