After a five-year absence, the smell of sizzling fryers and fresh meals once again filled the air in Georgetown Tuesday, with the return of Food Truck Tuesday on the Circle.

The future location of two police memorials in Georgetown took center stage at a packed Town Council meeting Monday night, as community members voiced strong support for keeping the monuments at the Circle.

There is controversy in Georgetown over possibly relocating the memorial honoring fallen Patrolman Chad Spicer and Chief Harvey Gregg Jr., though no official plans have been made. 

Food trucks could soon be rolling back into downtown Georgetown, as town leaders consider reviving the pre-pandemic event known as “Food Truck Tuesday.”

On Tuesday evening, the Georgetown Town Council approved a new set of traffic safety recommendations regarding the Georgetown Circle. The recommendations were presented by the town's Circle Advisory Committee.
