Delaware lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 222, which would impose term limits on state legislators and several statewide elected officials. Currently, Delaware has no term limits, but lawmakers remain divided on the measure.

Some Delaware lawmakers are proposing an amendment to the state's constitution. The amendment, if passed, would codify the 'right to marry' as a fundamental one.

The Delaware House Democratic Caucus sent a letter to Gov. John Carney on Friday requesting him to exercise his "constitutional obligation" to remove the state auditor from office once her verdict is entered by the Superior Court. Also on Friday, state Senate leaders called for McGuiness' removal from office.  

Delaware lawmakers have filed a bipartisan measure that would effectively end the mandatory tradition of extending legislative business past midnight on the final day of session each year.
