Almost six months after the installation of a gate on Magnolia Drive in Seaford, residents of the Belle Ayre neighborhood find themselves facing a new concern. The gate, implemented to address speeding issues, now poses challenges during heavy storms, particularly with one exit prone to flooding.

The hot topic of discussion in Seaford remains the large gate installed on Magnolia Drive in response to recurring speeding and traffic issues. In a recent town council meeting, residents both for and against the gate made their voices heard. However, as per Seaford Mayor David Genshaw, any removal of the gate is not happening soon. 

A petition to remove the gate located on Magnolia Drive separating the Bell Ayre development from the rest of the neighborhood has gained traction with over 100 signees.

A permanent, metal, locked, gate has been installed on Magnolia Drive in-between Belle Ayre Drive and Crossgate drive. The gate fully blocks traffic going through.
