The new year might just be a walk in the park thanks to a series of public grants from The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. DNREC has awarded 18 matching grants throughout Delaware totaling $2.2 million in hopes of improving the First State’s local parks.
The State of Delaware has released its 2025 Climate Action Plan, an updated roadmap aimed at cutting pollution, preparing communities for extreme weather, and reducing health risks that officials say are already being felt across the First State.
Ten Delaware projects will receive a total of $348,777 in 2026 through the Community Environmental Project Fund.
