Work has resumed on Nassau Commons Boulevard, just off Route 9, where contractors are undergoing a full roadway reconstruction that includes water main upgrades and storm drain installation. The project, led by A-Del Construction, is expected to last around two months.

Developer Carl M. Freeman Companies submitted a second application with downsized plans for the Cool Spring Crossing housing development at the intersection of Route 9 and Cool Spring Road near Lewes and Milton. 

Lewes is facing a significant six-month-long road closure as the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has commenced construction on a new intersection on Plantation Road. The closure, spanning from Shady Road to West of Salt Marsh Boulevard, will obstruct access to Route 9 until the expected completion date in May 2024.
