The HOME IN DEWEY BEACH, KNOWN AS SANDAWAY, WAS BUILT MORE THAN 80 YEARS AGO AND HAS BECOME A POPULAR PLACE TO RENT. It just SOLD FOR $9.1 MILLION. THE CURRENT HOME IS SPLIT INTO A MAIN HOUSE AND A GUEST HOUSE. IT'S A TOTAL OF 10,000 SQUARE FEET, WHICH IS THE PERFECT SPACE FOR ENTERTAINING. One woman says she's sad to see it go because she recently had her wedding there. "I'm really sad about it, we just got married here Saturday and I think we're the last wedding here," says Jen Phillips. "I know a lot of people got married here and it's just a beautiful old home. THE MEDIAN HOME VALUE IN DEWEY BEACH IS $627,600 AND IS EXPECTED TO RISE 2.6%. THE DEWEY BEACH COmMISSIONER, PAUL BAUER, SAYS HE'S PROUD THAT A HOME WAS ABLE TO BRING IN MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO THE AREA. "It is beachfront property and I was a little excited about how much money the real estate values have gone up for Dewey Beach. It's not something you typically think of Dewey Beach and you think of nine million dollars beachfront properties," says Bauer.
