Watching a cluster of showers and even a few rumbles of thunder possible very early this morning that will be rolling across parts of Delmarva. Most of this action should be done before the majority of us get going to work and school. We dry out through the day with a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures up into the 70s and 80s again. We can’t rule out a couple more showers and storms popping up in the evening hours. I will say that this isn’t a slam dunk chance of rain, but the threat is there. I am focusing more on the extra clouds that will be around in the afternoon hours today. With the front clearing later today, this will shift the wind in off the Atlantic for Thursday and provide us with a slightly cooler day and could have some fog / low cloud settling especially closer to the beach.

The front comes back north as a warm front for Thursday evening with the chance of a few spotty showers. This will push our temperatures back into the 80s for Friday ahead of a cold front that brings the chance of a few showers and storms into the Friday evening. The front now looks to lag behind and keep chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms for Saturday.

A shift in the forecast for next week as there is more support for a low pressure cutting off right over the top of Delmarva and will keep us unsettled with rain chances for a few days with the wind in off the Atlantic. This will lock our temperatures in the 50s and 60s through Thursday with on and off rain chances and if one of the models is right…we won’t have to worry about a drought for a while on Delmarva.
