Overall, a nice day to start the week with some sunshine mixing with clouds and on the cooler side with highs in the 60s and low 70s this afternoon. It will be significantly cooler on the beach with the wind out the southeast for much of the day today. Watching a cold front on the way to the area will provide us a chance of a few showers and maybe a rumble of thunder into the evening and overnight hours. This will clear us by Tuesday morning with temperatures overnight in the 50s and 60s.
A ridge of high pressure will slowly work its way in to take control of the forecast over the next few days. The slow progression of the low will keep things quiet weather wise with temperatures a little above average for this time of year with highs in the 70s. Some even warmer weather arrives by the time we get to Friday and Saturday with highs reaching into the 80s ahead of another cold front with a chance of some scattered showers and storms for Saturday evening.
