The wind starts to veer more off the Atlantic as we head into this afternoon. Temperatures will reach into the 70s and 80s once again today as we see a mix of sun and puffy cumulus clouds. With the peak daytime heating, we could see a couple pop-up showers and storms, but as another cold front approaches from the west it will bring the chance of a few late evening showers and storms.

The front slows down and stalls over the top of the area into tonight and keeps us gray with on and off rain for much of the day on Friday. Some of this rain could be moderate to heavy at times and we could even see a few thunderstorms develop once again within the bands of rain. Here is the good news: things will improve much faster with this system as the atmosphere will be moving a bit better. We should start to dry things out Friday evening and Friday night leads to a quiet start to our Saturday morning.

The weekend forecast looks amazing for the mom’s at the moment with sunshine both on Saturday and Sunday with comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s on Saturday and 70s on Sunday. Another chance of rain looks to enter the forecast for Tuesday / Wednesday timeframe next week with another area of low pressure forming and hanging out over the top of the region.
