Expect to see dreary and damp conditions that will keep us in the clouds with rain chances to end the workweek and start the weekend. Some of this rain could be heavy at times into Friday evening and Friday night with some embedded thunderstorms possible from time to time as well. We are looking at another beneficial rain with most of Delmarva picking up on 1-2” of rain over the course of 48 hours to help continue to put a dent in the drought and continuing to water the lawns and fields to help the farmers out as we start the growing season. Friday will have highs in the 50s during the course of the day. As the wind starts to turn out of the northeast and north for Saturday, even colder air will get mixed into the region that will keep our temperatures in the 40s for highs. It will be windy both on Friday and Saturday with wind gusts over 35+ mph possible both days as the low moves over the top of Delmarva.

Good news is that this low should be off the coast heading into Sunday leading to a little sunshine and our pick of the weekend with highs in the 50s and some low 60s. Big warm up looks to be in store for us early next week with highs soaring up into the 70s for Monday and Tuesday. A cold front that looks a bit wimpy at the moment swings through the area on Tuesday evening with some extra clouds and cooler air pushing back onto the Peninsula for Wednesday and Thursday.
