Saturday Night: Partly cloudy and breezy. Lows: 62-67 (68-72 Beach). Winds: E-SE 5-20+ mph.
Sunday: Partly to mostly sunny with the chance of late afternoon and evening showers and storms. Highs: 81-87 (78-82 beach). Winds: SE-S 5-20+ mph.
Monday: Partly cloudy with the chance of a few scattered showers and storms. Highs: 76-83. Winds: SW-SE 5-20+ mph.
We will start this Friday with some extra clouds and even a few spotty showers possible the first part of the day as we start with the front over the top of Delmarva. The front should go south of the region throughout the morning and allows for the sky to start to clear, setting up for a nice day to end the workweek. We will see a good amount of sunshine in the late afternoon and evening with temperatures in the 80s inland, 70s at the beach as the wind will start to turn out of the northwest and then from the north.
The weekend forecast looks to start on the dry side with temperatures in the 70s and 80s with the wind in off the Atlantic and with some sunshine. Sunday is when things will start to shift as we watch a cold front pushing into the region by late in the day with the chance of some scattered showers and storms. We should get through most of Sunday on the dry side before that rain chance starts to go up and will remain for much of next week.
An unsettled weather pattern will develop with the chance of a few showers and storms lingering into Monday as we watch a boundary park itself over the top of the region. Along that boundary, a new area of low pressure will look to develop and will bring a solid rain chance into the cards for Tuesday and linger into Wednesday and Thursday where we are going to see a very gray and dreary few days. It will also be much cooler with this consistent wind coming off the Atlantic with highs in the 60s for a few days.
On average, we could see anywhere between 2-5” of rain fall across the region by the time the low finally falls part and gives way to allow things to dry out in time for Ocean’s Calling the following weekend.
