A cooler start than the last few mornings as temperatures have fallen into the 40s for most places overnight. As we work throughout the day, the sun that we see will help our temperatures up into the 70s as a ridge of high pressure has slowly parked over the top of the Peninsula. With the wind out of the southeast today, our beach towns…especially to the south will be in the 50s for afternoon temperatures. This high begins to slide off our coast throughout the day and will lead to the wind turning more out of the south overnight with temperatures only falling into the 50s for morning temperatures for Friday.
Some even warmer weather arrives by the time we get to Friday and Saturday with highs reaching into the 80s. This will come with the price of some scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. There now looks to be a line of thought that we could deal with a few spotty showers as early as Saturday morning before the main cold front brings more robust showers and storms into the afternoon and evening hours before clearing out overnight on Saturday.
We cool things off for Sunday and Monday with temperatures more seasonable in the 60s and low 70s for highs. The high slides off the coast by Tuesday with highs soaring into the 70s and 80s by the middle of next week with a chance of a few showers / storms by Wednesday.
