Delaware State Parks Launches 'Pokemon Go' Contest

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's state parks have launched a new contest for Pokemon trainers of all ages.

"Poke Park Adventure" officially began Monday.

To win, players must take a screenshot of their "Pokemon Go" avatar in one of Delaware's state parks, and take screenshots of each Pokestop that they visit. Players must then upload the screenshot to social media using the hashtag #pokeparkde.

The trainer who visits the most Pokestops will receive a prize pack that includes Pokemon merchandise and a 2017 Annual Park Pass.

Delaware State Parks Director Ray Bivens says park officials are excited to offer this contest for children and families to explore nature in the state parks.

The contest runs through the end of July. The winner will be announced Aug. 3.
