Historic House Moves in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md-- One of the oldest homes in Somerset County, now has a new location.

The Waddy House was built back in the mid-1700s, the house was originally built along Perryhawkin Road in Princess Anne. On Thursday, it was moved further down that street.

The Somerset Historical Trust says the previous owner of the house wanted to get rid of it entirely and build a new one. The Somerset Historical Trust stepped in and decided to move it to a new location.

"It's a part of heritage that we just can't forget about. It's just critical that it not be destroyed," says Randolph George.
