DOVER, Del. --- Kent County Levy Court Commissioners on Tuesday approved spending $10,000 to target four feral cat colonies around central Delaware.
Commissioners approved a Trap, Neuter, and Return program carried out by Faithful Friends that will target 200 feral cats.
The program is aimed at reducing feral cat populations in some communities, where the felines cause damage to homes, cars, and gardens.
Levy Court Commissioner Jody Sweeney said organizers with Faithful Friends would give him a monthly update on their efforts and would give a public presentation in December. He noted the program could become an annual project for Kent County.
